

There are no guidelines for choosing your skills, all of them offer something unique. You can reset a character's Skill Tree if you have an extra Gemstone which you can find in dungeons by killing monsters. Every new level gives the character 1 Skill Point and all skills can be learned and improved twice, making it a level 3 skill. They are represented as a tree and in order to unlock the top skills, you'll have to unlock the ones below. SkillsĬharacters have unique skills that can increase their stats and improve their abilities. So, before you attempt to beat the boss, make sure to explore every nook and cranny so that you can find more Runes, Divine Graces, Charms and Divine Relics. You can tell which room leads to the boss because there will be a skull icon marked in that room. The best way to make sure that you're prepared for the boss is to completely explore the dungeon before stepping into the boss' room. Losing just means gaining experience and with that, you unlock new skills and new Family Traits. They have a limit of course, but they calculated well how many tries it'd take you to beat the boss, so don't too frustrated if you keep losing. You will notice that scripted events happen even if you keep losing. The game expects you to lose a few times before you win. The first boss will probably be the hardest. Charms can do a variety of things, such as increasing your stats temporarily, healing you and even spawning Divine Relics. By default, they're assigned to the R key on PC and they can only be used once. CharmsĬharms are the only consumable items you can pick up. This synergises well with Divine Relics that buffs or debuffs in an area of effect, such as Totem Divine Relics. For instance, Linda has a skill that increases her damage while she's standing still, plus, she's a ranged character. Some Divine Relics have nice synergies with certain characters. Sometimes you will have to drop one to pick up another and that might make a difference during the boss fights or even during the dungeon.

You have a limited number of Divine Relic slots and you have to choose well. Divine Relicsĭivine Relics are active items, meaning you have to activate them and they will apply a variety of effects. Make sure to pick them up if you see any. Divine Graces can increase your max HP, your primary attack damage, make you resistant to debuffs and more. Divine Graceĭivine Graces are items that will give you a passive ability or buff that lasts for the entirety of the run in the dungeon. They look like stone tablets with hieroglyphics. For instance, one very useful Rune is the 3-arrow shot for Linda, this will allow Linda to shoot 3 arrows at a time. Once equipped, they will enhance the character's abilities and attacks. Runes are passive items that you can equip (up to 3). Runes are very important and somehow not explained much in the game.
